My parents and my friend's parents think we ,as kids, know nothing but like when some of my friend's parents tell there kids to "keep something secret" do u think they do ? um...um..mmm.. No THEY DON'T (most of the time) and no i'm not talking about people being gay

Your concern is a very real one. Parents should be as honor-bound to keep a secret with you as with anyone! As an aging parent, however, I NEVER FELT my kids didn't know anything. I often felt they didn't have the expedience to make some of the decisions they were faced with. ON THE OTHER HAND, where does that experience come from!?! Just remember that they know quite a bit more about being a kid, than you know about being a parent, and they DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU HURT!! The young people are really stressed these days- I'm glad I grew up during the 60's when things were easy. =)

Hello some parents are just like that they think that they know everything and kids no nothing what parents don't understand is that through all the years of your kids growing up they are teaching you everything that you need to know so of course you know about personal life and business your around all the time you live in the same house. Parents just don't want to accept that your getting older and smarter they don't like to accept the fact that your turning into an adult because to them its just like yesterday that they had you. Parents always think that they know everything and you know nothing because they lived on earth longer but they dont always realize that they teach you everything that they know. Look im a parent of two boys and im not like that I know that my kids know the things in life and I accept that well anyway I hope this helps in some way thanks Holly Casey.

Parents sometimes need someone to talk to and don't want to tell one of there friends so children are a great go to they think you don not know who you are talking about or even care
