Because they have no reason to testify. The President can fire who he chooses and Dems have no business interfering!!!

If they gave answers under oath, they could be held accountable for lying. Scooter Libby was convicted for perjury--lying under oath.

I would imagine that after Libby's conviction, his staff would be quite hesitant to lie under oath.

That is a privilege that presidents have always enjoyed and for Bush to give in would set a precedent that cost all future presidents this privilege, which they should have.

Becasue they have now told so many lies over the last 6 years they have forgotten what the truth is and can then be held accountable for it legally.
