Doesn't that mean "good witches"?

There is a tradition of Italian Witchcraft called Stregheria--stregha is "witch" in Italian (I think it also means "owl.")

I've seen books about the Stregheria tradition, but I don't think they're vampires.

Well, if they ARE vampires, I doubt it tells you how to be a vampire in a book from Books-a-Million or Barnes n Noble.
