The term Evangelical Christian Conservative; in itself, is oxymoronic. Christian refers to Christ like behavior as Jesus Christ thought Biblical. Evangelical equates to the obedience of Jesus Christ to teach, encourage, preach the word of salvation. Conservatives; are a political group, whose philosophy, is apparently not running parallel to the word of God in modern day terms.

An evangelical Christian is someone who believe that the primary mission of Christianity is to evangelize the world, that is to say, to bring the message of the Bible to as many people as possible. Conservative could mean many things. It could even mean Republican. In which case, they would all be Republicans. But, if by conservative you mean, socially conservative, they are only MOSTLY Republicans.

i imagine that's the position we as human beings are tripping up. i guess I fit the stereotype, being a liberal atheist, yet I actually have some libertarian acquaintances who're atheists. My dad and mom are sturdy christians yet always vote democratic, and that i have some acquaintances are liberals with christian values. it is also no longer truly honest to assert all republicans are conservatives because they are not, basically like you won't be able to really say all democrats are liberals. even inspite of the actuality that i'm a liberal atheist I voted for W. in 2000 because i did not experience Gore replaced into sensible. for sure i did not vote for W. back in 2004, yet I actually have at circumstances voted for different Republican politicians after I felt they were in contact adequate with a huge portion of the inhabitants. i do not vote for fringe politicians on both area.

An evangelical Christian is one who believes the bible to be the inerrant word of God and accepts Jesus Christ as the only way in which to get to heaven. Evangelical means they testify of their faith to others so that others may come to know Christ. Since evangelicals believe life begins at conception and that it would then be murder to abort a baby they can seldom find a democratic candidate that that they can support.
I know that it sounds completely unrealistic to base so much on one issue but it is a very defining issue for true Christians. Evangelical Christians have been labeled as a people who want to impose their morality on others. Although the imposition of morality by force is an attractive idea, the truth is that myself and most other Christians that I know have resolved ourselves to openly witnessing and trying to introduce others to Christ but ultimately letting them decide for themselves whether or not to enter into immorality. That's the way God does it. As creator of the universe he could easily force us all to obey him but he chooses to let us decide for ourselves.
That being said I would like to continue to be blessed by God in this country and that cannot continue much longer with the present direction of our moral values.

No, there is no requisite party. Remember how people left England in the 1600's to escape a national church?
The word evangelicalism usually refers to religious practices and traditions which are found in conservative, Protestant Christianity
