Get her some candles, or a center piece for her table.

I'm not sure how much you're aiming to spend, but I think a lovely, soft throw/blanket would be great. You could even make it into a basket type gift with the throw/blanket, some comfy socks, a mug, some hot chocolate or tea, some biscuits, and some candles. You could maybe even throw in some bath salts, bubble bath, or oils. It would be very comforting.

Give her something she can use around the house. Like a blender or maybe a plant for the house. Since you are dealing with a woman it would probably be best to give her either a kitchen tool or maybe something to fancy up the house.
Good Luck with that and Peace.

Maybe like a home spa kit or something like that. A working mom can always make use of scented bath salts, candles, maybe a terry robe. They usually will sell like a basket with all those kinda goodies inside. It's useful and relaxing...just what a single mom needs!

One of those bathroom/spa packs with all her pamperomg needs. A working mom needs to be able to have me time. Cnadles are good too, to help relax one's mind and put them into any kind of mood. Also you could get her some soothing music to go with the bathroom/spa kit while she's taking a bubble bath or something.

Get her something that will help her and her children settle into there new home.
A picture book about the city she now lives in or something like that.
Although it sounds cheesy it will be something she can sit down and enjoy with her children, and help bring them together during their transition.
A family movie on DVD would help also. I know when I split with my ex one of the best things I did for myself and my children , was to put on a family comedy, the laughter was medicine and I forced myself to sit down and rest instead of being stuck in Super mom mode.
Blessings to your friend and her family.

Why don't you get her something to pamper herself with. Perhaps a nice scented candle, bottle of wine, a bath bomb and some choclolate! Someone to look after the children whilst she did this would be extra special. Hope this helps.

You know when I got my first new home, somebody bought me a peace lilly. I wasn't really into plants and things but that plant is now my little friend, and everytime I look at it, it reminds me of her. It also helps me to take real good care of it because I know she would be really upset if it died. I had loads of bubble bath and candles and things, but the peace lilly was just so lovely and special, and it always brightens up my room.

Go to Next they have loads of reasonable bits in there. artificial plants, Candles,Twigs photo frames , statues, dried flowers, fruit bowls etc all modern and probably within your budget or buy her £20 worth of marks and sparks food ! That would be different. You are a nice person like me ! I worry to much about what to buy people and I am sure no-one worries about what to buy me xxxx
