Three months pregnant and we were arguing because i don't have something to eat and i wanted to go to the grocery store...silly, but anyway i popped him, you know the way you would slightly pop someone on the hand, did even mean it. he left and said he was going to get a restraining order against me..yes stupid which means he will never be near his child since i'm carrying the child and we live in the same house??!#%&* and i'm still asking what i'm doing with him..so my question is if he does actually get it will it go on my record? please if you don't have anything nice or constructive to say don't answer!!

If he gets a restraining order because of a silly argument, you have more problems than you know. But he probably won't. It sounds like loose talk to me.

Restraining orders have sort of slipped their boundaries in the current legal climate. Used to be they were a legitimate device used sparingly to keep people out of danger from a person who is a known threat. But now they're more often used for relationship blackmail or divorce ammunition. You see it all the time - an innocent spouse hit with a restraining order to make him (or, rarely, her) look bad to a divorce court judge later.

The restraining order itself won't go on your record, but after court (he he chooses to press charges) the disorderly conduct will.

yes , it would go on your record, But unless you violated it you canhave it expunged. Thats how it works in my state
