If not, then why the hell am I obligated to the children that result from normal insemination? Is there a contract I can sign before I have sex that will let me off the hook?

email me a copy if you find one!

you are not obligated to children of artificial insemination most of the time. there have been a few case that have come up but i do not know the out come as the mother is the one who signs the contract not you.
You can have a lawyer draw up such a contract that you can have the girl sign, but if this girl goes to the state for assistance, it is more than likely they will throw the contract out the window. You know the old saying you can't fight city hall?

You are not obligated to the offspring produced from sperm bank donations because the women choose to be pregnant without you in their life. When you have sex with someone and dont use a condom that woman has a connection to you, not a selection from a book. If she lied to you about being on BC simply to force you into impregnating her then I vote you have no moral obligation. If it was irresponsible sex, stick with her through the pregnancy then give the kid up for adoption, then neither of you have an obligation. As far as the contract unless you're the most attractive man on the plant or you have some kind of crazy good skills, a chicks not going to sign to have sex....and if she is drunk the contract would be voided because she is not of sound mind. Also with a contract you would need a witness, an observer to your every sexual act.... wouldnt it just be easier to use a condom or be in a committed monogamous relationship and us the pill?

Well, a "moral" obligation is different from a "legal" obligation. Your question seems to me more about the legal obligation than the moral one. A moral obligation would be based on your own conscience. If you have no desire to care for the children you father, than morally you have no obligation.

HOWEVER, you still have a legal obligation to care for your children in one way or another. Now, maybe state law doesn't require you to pay child support for your artificially inseminated children, but it probably will for your naturally inseminated ones. If you don't want to pay child support, okay, fine. But you probably will have to go to jail. I'm sure that no contract exists because it wouldn't be legal in any of the 50 states of the union or the District of Columbia.

Only if the birth parents wish to include you. You morality went out the door when you donated sperm and were compensated for it. The ones you created on your own deserve much more than you are capable of giving them, instead fess up and pay support at the very least. Try some birth control if you are not wanting to reproduce or better yet, get a vasectomy so you know you will be safe from producing unwanted children. Lest you worry about getting a STD from unprotected sex.

If you don't want obligation to children that you have made during normal intercourse then GET YOUR BOY SNIPPED!! No excuses! You are just as much in control as the woman. Responsibility starts before sex, not after.

You could draft a document, and have a lawyer go over it to make sure it is equitable, and covers all the bases. Then whomever you have sex with could be served the document, and you'd never have sex again.

Have fun!
