I'm feeling kinda bad he seemed kind of disapointed that I didn't want to go with him to Sears but then he only ever invites me places when my brothers not around.

yes. I was with him all the time and as I grew older it hurt that I was into other things. Sometimes I would just stay home to do things with him. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Tell him that. Not in anger or anything, but just say how you felt bad letting him down but you wanna know why he only invites you when your brother isnt around. Tell him you feel like second best with him and you want to feel like you matter even when your brother is around.

I didn't mind going to the store or the movies with my dad, but I didn't like fishing and didn't feel guilty when I didn't go. Thank God for my little brother!

You should talk to him & try to work it out. I always went with my dad when I was young, but then again, he died when I was 7. I'm sure that had he lived, I might have faced a similar difficulty. Communication really is key in relationships. Give it a shot. What have you got to lose?

Jealousy & Stubborness equals regret later in life. Go spend time with your old man. Sometimes thats the only way people know how to show affection. plus he might buy u a little somethin.

Yes. He used to ask if I wanted to go to the store or something, and I had plans already. I would feel soooo bad

My dad was always either working or on a bar stool, but yeah I wish we could of had some connection

I feel bad now that my dad and I didn't get to do more together. He passed away almost four yrs ago.

I never felt bad. I had 2 brothers he could take. Besides that i didnt like him, lol.
