Were you upset when they were exposed (oo-er) as frauds who didn't sing on any of their own records?!?!

I was about 11 when this happened... blimey, that's going back. I wasn't upset, but I did like 'Girl You Know It's True' so I was a bit disappointed. I remember the huuuge fuss that entailed - people lining up outside record shops to take their albums back for refunds.

Quite the opposite for me; I reveled in it! They & acts like them represented The Worst of late 80s pop. What a crappy period for popular music that was. I kept saying all along they were shyte & when that scandal came about, I had the satisfaction of repeating "I Told You So!"

We've gone totally backwards today though. These days, lip-syncing seems to be *Accepted*. (eg: Ashlee Simpson, et al)

I remember that! The blue eyed one died of a drug overdose.
The real band didn;t do well, but were great musicians!

As in most of the music business, there are many fakes anyway.

No because I didnt adore them as artist....it was just good music to dance too. I never took my tape back for partial refund. I kept it and danced to it for years to come. It was great soundtrack for Jazz Ballet/ Hip Hop...lol We're you pissed?

yes. What's crazy is it ruined their career and Ashlee Simpson was caught lip syncing and she's still famous.
