nanometre is 10 to the power -9. next down is a picometre which is 1000 times smaller than a nanometre. After that the femtometre is 1000 times smaller than a picometre. The list goes on, attometre (10 to the power -18), zeptometre (10 to the power -21), yoctometre (10 to the power -24). Thanks to Wikipedia for this info.
