I was at my local mall the other day (very rare, I don't care for malls, but my husband wanted to use some gift cards). We passed the Deb shop and I saw an sign in the window advertising plus size prom dresses.

I just did a search for junior plus size party dresses (actually, I just started typing "junior plus size" and one of the suggestions, was junior plus size party dresses) and found a whole plethora of sites. Including one that advertised junior plus size and junior tall clothing.

Junior clothing has come a long way since I was in high school. I was tall (I started out about 5'8" or 9" and graduated at just over 5'11" and weighed a minimum of 180. I lived in guys' jeans, guys' shirts, Tshirts and sweatshirts.) Most of the women's clothing that fit me seemed too old lady. Sigh. I'm now about 170-75; I've not weighed myself in a couple of weeks, but I hope I've gained since I'm pregnant. I'm trying to at least. Actually, I might check out some of those sites.

I hope I've been of some help.

PS: I'm not sure where Lake County is. In August my husbnad and I moved from Columbus to a Detroit suburb. (He's in grad school and doing his internship year; We plan on moving back "home" in August.) He grew up in Bucyrus (Crawford County, halfway between Cleveland and Toledo) and went to Ohio University. Haivng spent a few years driving from IN to Ohio to visit him, either at school or home, I became familiar with the state. However, I'm not sure where Lake Co. is. However, if you go to Columbus, I'm not sure where, maybe Tuttle Crossing and/or Eastland, two of the upscale malls, you might be able to find some stores, too. Acutally adult women's clothe have come a long way, check out the "adult" dresses at JC Penny, Sears, etc. Even try thrift stores consignment shops, and bridal shops.

Happy prom. I skipped my junior prom because of the whole dress thing (and because I wasn't exactly Ms Popular). My senior prom dress was a bit boring, but it was an "adult" woman's dress and better than nothing. Eh. I survived. I'm not even sure I have a photo of me in it.
