South America ..the Atacama in Chile & The Patagonian in Argentina.

South Africa..The Namib & Kalahari.

Australia..The Great Western (Great Sandy, Gibson), The Australian desert

Finally, the Ice Desert of Antarctica.

Deserts in the southern hemisphere are:

The Kalahari and Namib in Africa
The Patagonian and Atacama in South America
The Australian
All occur along the Tropic of Capricorn.
Each great desert has many divisions and sub-divisions

Antartica is technically the world's largest desert - as it never rains there (just snows!)

Here in Australia, we have the Nullabor Plain, & Simpson Desert to name two well-known ones...

The other answers notwithstanding, the Atacama in southernmost South America is the driest place on earth - there are places there that have NEVER had rain!
