What are you talking about pregnant females don't have tubes. The males "penis" is a tube.

Her "gravid spot" will grow large and darken as the fertilized eggs develop. Closer to delivery time, the spot will be nearly black. Some say they are even able to see the developed babies within the gravid spot, but I can't say I have seen this.
Often times, when delivery is near, the female will be having difficulties swimming due the weight of the developing fry. I don't always notice this problem, but it should be something you watch for on a daily basis.
The female will try to find a hiding place, being it behind plants in the tank or often times, my females hang out near the heater. They just seem to want to be left alone for delivery time and don't want to be bothered especially by the frisky males.
Classic Signs of pregnancy are a large belly, a boxy-look from the front view, and a darker gravid spot. The spot, under the fish's tail, is like a stained-glass window where the fry come out. Near the day of delivery you can sometimes see eyes of the unborn fry as tiny black dots.

I have never heard of a tube being near the belly, I have guppies and have also never seen it. When mine are ready to give birth the signs that I usually see are squaring off on the belly, breathing a little more heavy then usual and they tend to try and be by them self. I know when there are fry in the tank when I can see from across the room it looks like all the fish are chasing something.

If you are trying to figure out if the fish is pregnant then I have a question for you, is she near a male guppy? If so then she is more then likely pregnant and will continue to become pregnant even if there is no male around for up to 6 months.

BTW, it's called a gravid spot and all females will have one but if they are pregnant it will be bigger and darker. Once the fry are old enough in the belly that is where you will be able to see their eyes.

I do not know what you mean by a "tube" near their belly. They do get a dark "gravity" spot, which is the fry developing. A day or so before birth the belly of the fish will become kind of square shape, most easily seen from the back of the fish. Also the female will usually not eat 6 to 12 hours before birth and she will stay by herself in a corner or under plants in your tank.

Hope all goes well, and experience will teach you better than anything else.

Is this what you mean? Check out this picture of one of my pregnant platies:

Honestly, I've never heard of a "tube" on livebearers either. But it really does look like the ovipositor, the tube used to lay eggs, on my female bettas (excuse the waterspots, but it's the best picture I've got showing the ovipositor):
