Hmmm... are you talking about tanning beds(which often increase your rate of contracting cancer by at least 50%) or tanning lotions?
If you're referring to tanning lotions, there's not much harm in using them unless whatever product you're using is loaded with tons of chemicals that make you sick from frequent usage.
If you're referring to tanning beds, my advice is not to use them?
Also, I don't think there's anything wrong with children using tanning products. There's nothing wrong with looking good as it allows you to have a good self-image(which means good confidence, being happy with yourself).
However, "looking good" is not all that matters in this world. So, you should treat others with respect: even those who're not fortunate enough to afford good clothes or nice things or even those who don't look as pretty as you do.
Edit: Bah, why do some people treat children like they're not a human being and expect them to live up to some image of being "good and innocent", when they can't even live up to the standards they set for themselves?

I don't see a reason why not other than it's a little hard to get right and girls that age are really sensitive to perceived imperfections. It's certainly a lot safer than getting tanned in a tanning bed or in the sun.

No its not! that is the problem now in days! we want little girls to do the things mommy does! Some moms don't see their girls as daughters but more like the doll they never had!the sister or friend they need to do things with! Now in days kids don't know how to be kids! then we complain as why our kids are being too rebelious against us?

~ No... you'll wind up with LEATHER to replace the supple skin you now possess...
~ When I hold your hands... carress your cheek... hold you close to me, I don't want to feel the likes of elephant hide... yuck...
~ God provided the proper lighting for us to use... in moderation... So use is sparingly... along with proper protectants... and you will be loved for who you are... not the DARK LEATHER SKINNED GAL who used a self tanner for 15 years.

I don't see why not. It's not hurting her. And it is alot better than laying out in the sun.
