See the reference for a good, free place to start. If you find a field of science that's not represented there, let us know and we'll see that it's added.

For a book made of dead trees, the more fields it includes, the less it can say about each. It might not be possible to make a book out of paper that's big enough to just list all the fields.

The only book that would address ALL fields of science would be one of the very large Enclyclopedias--from which you would only get a terse definition of each field! However, the entry for each specific field would probably provide cross-references to compatible or adjunct fields which, would allow you to, eventually, work up a list of almost every significant field! If you need detailed information about a particular field then you need to search out specific handbooks or texts or manuals for that specific field. A huge job!
