There is something wrong with the DB, or with the install of MS ACCESS.

Try using the Tools menu > Database Utilities > Compact & Repair

Or you could try creating a new db, then importing EVERYTHING from the old DB into the new one (basically moving all of guts of the DB into a new Shell). Click "import", then locate your Old Access DB, then click SELECT ALL on each tab (Click Options and make sure to bring in any relationships and import/export specs).

If that doesn't work, you may need to re-install MS Access (doing that won't delete Your DB).

Hello, (ANS) Yes! Active X controls (components) are normally associated with the use of a web browser or web pages (i.e.HTML). Active X controls are usually plug-ins that are downloaded from a website or web page inorder to give the website/webpage more fancy features (added bells & whistles & clever font effects, etc). **My experience of MS Access is a few versions back from the version you are probably working with. But database design fundamenatally doesnt change that much, your still working with tables, forms, data types, relationships, etc. **you may need to enable ActiveX controlls or plugins inorder to create forms, reports. In your version. It sounds like you wont be able to make (create) the form or report until you have activeX controlls enbled? Hope that all makes sense? IR
