so everytime i go on the internet and click on a link to something it closes out of it entirely and i dont know what to do or why its doing this..if you could help me that would be wonderful..thanks a million

What web browser are you using? If you are using Firefox, then try Internet explorer 7 from www.microsoft.com if you are using Internet Explorer then try downloading FireFox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

are you on a dialup connection. ?
is it dropping the dialup connection or just closing the browser ?
I would call your internet service provider and ask for technical support.
