1. Buy a Haynes or Chilton manual for your vehicle

2. Consult the manual

3. Check for spark.

4. If it has spark go to the TPS [Throttle Positioning Sensor]

5. The TPS checks OK then go to the Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Well it takes volatile fuel, not stale or water saturated, ignition spark, and compression.
Check the fuel. Pour a little on a paper towel. Does water bead up on the towel?
Check the spark. Pull a spark plug and attach the plug wire to it. Make sure it it where you can see the electrode and that it is grounded. Does it spark?
If the first two tests pass. Perform a compression test.
If it passes all three tests then you have serious timing problem.

Check the timing, it's a very real possibility that the timing chain has too much slack and not letting your engine start. The engine needs proper valve timing, along with air, spark and gas to run.

As long as it's turning over, I would start with the timing. If it's cranking irratically or extremely fast that's a very good sign you have a timing issue too.

if your getting gas and spark, your engines timing may have jumped. you may have spark, but if a timing light was uaes here, the mark will not come close, every time light fires
