How can they be guilty of defending the US border when it is out of control? Both have good records so why did the justice dept lie in order to prosecute them and then pamper the illegal dope smuggler? Who's best interest is evident here?

Because our government is screwed up!
I am a Republican and conservative. These guards showed get medals.
I'll bet these guards interfered with something covert no doubt and are being made scapegoats.

No to the first response. If it were only that simple.
You see, our oh so lovely government makes all the commercials wanting border agents, yet, our own government will not secure our borders.
Have you ever stopped to think why?
If not, here is your answer: because our leaders and other world leaders are preparing to create a North American Union. How can we have this if our borders are secure and no outsiders come in?
Ever heard of the NAFTA Superhighway?
Please do some research on this.

Because G W Bush is the Decider and he decided to have the borders open for his North American Union and the NAFTA Super highway from Mexico to Canada , right through the middle of the Midwest .
If this Government was serious about stopping the drug trade into this country , they would stop it in a minuet .
Because they don't , it makes me suspect of someone in high places not wanting the drugs stopped . Think about it !!!!

Because those particular two border patrol agents shot an unarmed man in the back (side), and tried to cover it up instead of reporting it. If they had followed procedures, they would have gotten off with a reprimand. Crooked cops are no better for society than drug dealers.

The laws are supposed to apply equally to everyone.
BTW, the Border Patrol agents shot the man and tried to cover it up. If they had just admitted what they had done, it is possible that would not have done much prison time, if any. But, they are liars and killers. So, we are better off having them in prison and not on the Border Patrol.
