We like subtle humour, we like to be told a joke and left to figure out why it's funny on our own. American humour can be in your face. Cool it a bit.

I understand American humour perfectly thankyou , but its just not as funny as british humour ...we tend to be too dry for the Americans to understand. Of course there are always exeptions to the rule on both sides .

I'm neither, but I love the British sense of humour. Its ridiculous and quite immature. Just like me really! American humour is a bit corny. I love Friends.

Well, i do understand American humour as i have lived in America for several years. I find some of it funny, but much of it is very perverted and immature, which i do not find attractive. Some American men i find attractive, those who are funny but know where to draw the line of certain jokes and such.

I have to admit when watching American sitcoms I hear a joke and think "that was corny" - it's not enough to even make me smile let alone laugh, but the studio audiences are rolling about in laughter! Sometimes comedy just doesn't relate across the pond.

But ....... face to face I find some of you Yanks funny. It all depends on whether you're being funny because you're looking for a compliment on your humour or you're full of yourself and think you're funny (I hate that) ..... but if you are genuinely being amusing then I really like that.

I understand the humour but don't really find it funny have no idea why, it's just nothing like British humour. It makes me chuckle like, but not hearty kind of laughter. I guess it all depends on the individual...some can be. (sorry thats the worst answer ever)

I understand it but it`s a little on the corny side and they don`t seem quite comfortable with it most of the time. It`s a bit on the Hollywood side and British men did not learn their humor from Hollywood,it`s more earthy and heart felt, that is easier to relate to off the bat.

Some are funny, others are annoying, the same as the English humour. I have a weird sense of humour anyway. xxx
