Offended? No... it's your wedding....I would be offended if you said "Jen, I'm trying to cut costs, so I have decided that your fat A** does not get any cake" that would offend me.

Yeah, weddings are costly that is why I hope to Elope in Vegas (one day)with just a few people there with me. You could opt to bake it or see if your local high school has a catering course usually you can pick up things(like cakes, hor dourves there at a big savings because the kids are working for grades and experience and you can always arrange the ding dongs like a wedding cake too. You could also cut back on flowers by seeing if they are running specials or going to cheaper venues to get flowers, it never hurts to start knocking the cost down by checking for damaged goods you received from the vendors either, and again try to bargin as much as possible and look for deals often they don't tell customers that a Tuesday wedding room may cost less than a Saturday's one.
