I assume your question means "What does it say about your friendship with someone if you habitually call them up when you're bored?"
One function of a friendship is to provide amusement for each other, but few friendships are limited to that, especially those that continue to exist when we're removed from each other's company. If you have a friend who you only consort with when you happen to be in the same place (school, work, gym, team sports, etc.), they are probably an amusement-only kind of friend.
If you have a friend who you think of when you're bored, and want to spend that time with, they are probably more meaningful to you than the type of friend mentioned above. Just because you call on them when you have some time to kill doesn't mean that you would never call on them otherwise. Those are also the friends that you would call on in a time of need, and one whose call of need you would respond to.
