both are very good carbs and you can't go wrong with either one, it's your choice, I have a edelbrock carb and I love the ease of tuning and basically bolt on and go.

The Edelbrock is better quality and will be better for the engine. The Holley might give you a little more power, but at the expense of a lot higher fuel use and lower cat and O2 sensor life.

the edelbrock carb. has more tuning options available that you can do. a holley has the same ability but usually requires you to drill holes and change parts that aren't easy get. both are good carbs. if you want easy tuning then go with the holley usually jet and maybe a squirter nozel or pump cam are all you need to do. if you want more tuning ability go with the other. you can change alot more parts in thoes to tune the engine at diff parts of the rpm range

I've heard good things about both. I do know from experience that Holley carburetors had problems with the floats sticking.......this was in the past...don't know if that has been fixed or what. Best of luck to you.

The AVS (air valve secondary) is probably the best 4-bbl carburetor ever made, in shear terms of simplicity, and tuning ease.
Don't get confused with the AFB (aluminum four barrel), they're similar, but no dice.

In my opinion,Holley.Holleys are designed better, last
longer. Also, the parts availability and technical support from Holley can't be beat.
