They scream and make hysterical facial gestures when they are told they are getting ANYTHING for free. Start high-fiving each other and jumping while shaking all wild. It's like they're a cult. Why do they behave that way? Who goes to these things?

ha ha good answers so far but...they are absolutely crazy. if you gave me a cell phone i wouldn't be like, "ok" id be a little enthusiastic but at the same time, it's like only a certain type of people go to these shows. they're like really crazy ladies. i wouldn't doubt they wouldn't do it if Oprah asked them to do something completely insane and illegal. It's a cult. I understand they watch her everyday but that has nothing to do with respecting her reflecting in their behavior. They're nuts. I'm surprised this question hasn't been asked prior to me. Thanks for the answers!! They're amusing.

Oprah's audience and every other talk show's audience are getting bribed to stay viewers and to keep coming to her show. I'm not exactly sure when this started but now it's just getting aggravating to me. I guess they get all hysterical because they know they'd never be able to afford this kind of stuff in real life.

Oprah sold her soul to Satan to boost her ratings. Her audience, to be correct, is a heretic cult that has been possesed by lesser minions and imps to do all those things, it was part of the bargain.
Read up on your stuff man. And don't mess with Oprah, that womans crazy.

They are acting so crazy, because they are so excited to see Oprah! People who watch her show everyday and then get to see her are SO excited. She is a role model to so many people. People love and respect her and they are excited to even be in the same room with her. Who goes to these things? Millions of women, that's who.

Who wouldn't scream if they were being told they were getting a car, computer or $500 sheets for free. I'd give anything to go. If you don't scream at getting things like that, you must be super-rich or not superficial like most people.

I would in a heart beat. Go to one of those things, I mean. But if Oprah felt like giving me a cashmere sweater....jumping, high fiving and contorting my face would be a small price to pay. LOL!

She has created her own audience, has contributed to society in many ways but is The Queen of "promoting her own self". She knows her job and people, of many different education levels want to relate to her.

they do that because they want Oprah to feel appreciated. if i tell you i'm gonna give you a cell phone i wouldn't want you to just be like "ok" i want you to at least be alittle enthusiastic
