Why is Kobe hated?

Please talk basketball and basketball only. Not about his personal life. He did not rape as the justice system found him innocent. His wife (I know he bought her expesnive gifts, but they resolved it and its their life and they have another child now and they are doing well) and his family forgave him, so the adultery issue is behind everyone. Move on from the past!

James worthy committed adultery, Julius Irving and Charles Barkley committed adultery, so he isn't the only one. Even MJ was accused of one by his wife in 2002...his relationship with his wife deteriorated and they eventually divorced this year.

Tell me why ppl hate kobe basketball wise. I'm open minded. I'll take the answers. But do keep in mind that he does have a below average supporting cast . And he regularly works hard and demands double teams to set up good looks for his teammates and they miss shots and thats why he gets frustrated and takes over the game.

I have yet to find out why he is hated so much as well. Even before the allegations, a lot of people did not like him. Why? When I ask basketball fans in general, they can never give me a straight answer. The only consistent remark I get is that "he thinks he is a big shot or he is a ball hogger"!! Well guess what, all the great players had the same characteristics. You know when you are good and unstoppable so you carry that positive mentality to reach new heights. Also, you need the ball to score so if you're good at it and the coach followed by your teammates rely on you why not. How else do you think Wilt scored 100 points or Michael averaged 34+ points a game. Yet those two were not hated for what they did. The only conclusion I could come up with when I compare stats since numbes never lie with Kobe and the great players that played the game, is envy. People hate because they know he proves people wrong everytime and thier pride is to big to admit their wrong doings.

Kobe has always been hated because he's cocky...plain and simple. he came into the league having already been tagged "the next MJ". he was raised by a father who was an NBA player, he enjoyed an above average lifestyle, so he couldn't relate to the "from the streets" angle like many other players. He spent a lot of years in Italy where his dad played... and he's just very confident to the point that it's more ********* than anything. All that other stuff, including the mess with Shaq, only went to make him look worse. People are going to judge all the time, without knowing the truth...only hearsay. Shaq is a very charismatic guy...so it wasn't hard for him to win over public opinion when he and Kobe started feuding. It's not more than that. Kobe is the best player in the league, and has been for a few years now. he demands more than double and triple teams...he also CHOOSES to be matched up against the best players when he's on defense. Give it up...the guy is an awesome baller. i used to be a huge Kobe hater, but now i'm so tired of people hating on him, i'm darn near a fan.

For 11 seasons Kobe has established he is an amazing talent. Michael Jordan is conceivably the best NBA player to lay a hand on a basketball. Aside from Jordan, Kobe Bryant is the best. He has shown time after time the skills needed to be the G.O.A.T. You can love him or hate him, but Kobe will be Kobe. I like how fans and non fans of the game continue to bash Kobe as if they never made a Human Being type mistake. Ha Ha! It baffles me to the point where I almost become weak and nauseated. Mr. Bryant made some mistakes in the past and he will make them in the future. We are Human right? Accept the fact that Kobe made his personal mistakes and MOVE ON!!!!!! He didn't rape anyone and he isn't guilty of anything accept throwing a few elbows at irritating opponents. Get over it unreasonable sports fan! Get over it soccer mom! First of all, I people hate Kobe because he is a great basketball player, they are just jealous of him.

I personally dont like Kobe because I think that what you see in the Lakers three years from now to actual time Lakers is Kobe doing it all without ANY good supporting player, so if you saw Bryant´s numbers go way above is because if he doesnt makes points, rebounds, and assist, whowill make them?

The problem is that he is seen as a selfish player. Kobe fans tend to like comparing him to MJ. Jordan, with the exception of Pippen had a mediocre supporting cast. He never had anyone as good as Shaq to help him out. The thing is that Jordan made the players around him better... Kobe does not. Honestly, Lamar Odom could be better than Pippen was in his prime. He will never achieve this because of Kobe.
Kobe is also unlikable because of his "dirty" play. Hitting players that blocked his shots in crucial situations is very childish. I have said this in another post, but when retaliation-worthy fouls are committed on Kobe (Raja Bell's clothesline), he walks away. I say "dirty" because he exacted revenge on smaller, unintimidating players. Raja Bell was not as small as Manu and Jaric, so Kobe, himself was intimidated, and didn't fight back.

There are some areas of your short tale that i don't consider. He became very selfish while Shaq became there. they might have gained many extra championships yet he became too selfish. additionally, up until this season, he had a good form of hassle related to persons and that's what human beings advise by using making others extra useful. He did a much extra useful interest this year and this is the reason he have been given MVP. He has consistently been a exceptional participant yet that area became lacking, formerly. he's hated because of fact of those issues and due to what exceeded off with that woman. If he did not rape her (which i think he did not) then at ideal he's a womanizer and cheats on his spouse. not reliable characteristics once you opt to place somebody on a pedestal. i did not like him too plenty until this year, provide it a while.

He portrays himself as this great player that we all should just adore. For example, the All-star game in Philly a few years back,he took excessive shots to score enough to be the MVP in the place he grew up. The Philly fans booed him as they boo most everyone, but deservedly so. When he re-upped with the Lakers, he made sure that he would be the star and that Shaq was uneccessary for him to continue winning titles or he was gonna go play for the Clippers or someone else. That appears to have worked out well for the Lakers.

Kobe first started losing respect when he thought he was the TEAM, and Shaq departed. He has shown that he was not the man and that he could not do it byhimself. It's kind of the same thing when people turned against and began hating President Bill Clinton when it came to a sex scandal. It had nothing to do with him being great as a President. And like Bill Clinton, Kobe is great and I do mean great at what he does. His personal life has nothing to do with his basketball skills.
