1. How is it possible to be accelerating and traveling at a constant speed?

2. Describe the relationship between motion and a reference point.

3. Explain why its important for airplane pilots to know wind velocity, not just wind speed, during a flight.

4. Explain the difference between mass and weight.

5. Explain how using the term accelerator when talking about a car's gas pedal can lead to confusion, considering the scientific meaning of the word acceleration.
( just in case you dont know the scientific meaning acceleration=the rate at which velocity changes.)

4.

1. Since acceleration is a change in velocity, and velocity has a direction attached to it, all you need is to be moving at a constant speed while constantly turning. you might create circles, or go in a curvy line

2. Motion is the difference in position in comparison with a reference point.

3. Velocity has a direction attached to it and if the pilots didn't know where the wind was blowing, it could blow their lane off course.

4. Mass is a measure of the matter in an object. Weight is a measure of the amount of gravitational force pulling on the object

5. A car's gas pedal changes speed. Velocity can be changed not only with the gas pedal, but the steering wheel as well. The reason is that velocity has a direction attached to it, so curving affects it, same as before

1. if your traveling in a circle you would be accelerating towards the center but you could still be at the same speed just in a different direction.
2. A reference point is used to compare the motion of an object as it moves
3. velocity includes a direction and magnatude, since the wind could push a plane in any direction it is important to take direction into account
4. mass is the amount of matter that makes up an object, weight is how strongly gravity effects an object
5.the gas pedal is used to accelerate the car in a positive direction. the break also accelerates the car but in a negative direction.
