I noticed there aren't very many "hip" magazines for Christian teen girls. We would like to start new one. Something along the lines of Seventeen and Cosmogirl, but from a Christian worldview. How do I get started?

I'm really not educated in this particular area, but I am looking for a career in magazines as well, so maybe I can offer some help. Atoosa Rubenstein, the creator of CosmoGirl and former editor of Seventeen magazine first got started interning at Seventeen and Cosmo magazine. She then suggested the idea for a teen version of Cosmopolitian and thus, CosmoGirl was created. Therefore, I would suggest getting a start in the magazine industry, and later suggesting your idea.
Or you can simply start a personal magazine to distribute locally etc. You can hold complete control over it, type the articles, organize the layout, bind it together, make copies and sell it. It may do well enough at your church and area that it could become something bigger.

I learn stuff like Star and US Weekly due to the fact that I used to be round 10 due to the fact that I appreciated celebrites, and I've been off and on Teen Vouge due to the fact that eleven and browse Seventeen at 12. It fairly relies while the stuff turns into principal in your existence. As for matters like Tiger Beat and some thing, the ones are fairly geared for nine-12
