NO! he is a rare species of bear! they need every single one of their species to survive! would they (animal rights 'people') say the same thing about an endangered panda being hand reared? or even bengal tiger cubs being hand reared? what are these 'people' on?

How can you kill something so cute? They said that it would be better for it than being raised as a domestic animal. No it won't. It'll be dead.

They said that the other bears would kill it if you tried to put it back in with them later. Fine, it'll be dead either way but at least it will have had some life and will die as nature intended, by being mauled by other bears, not by being shot in the head.

How many animals have been hand raised and used for animal conservation purposed?

I think that saying the only solution is to kill the cub is a crock.

I cant believe I am agreeing with you Vicki but I agree! ..the zoo keepers see no reason for this little guy to be put to sleep .He is a rare and beautiful creature who could contribute to the continuation of the species in the future.

It's tough to say, and please hear me out on this one. I think that nature, in large part, should be allowed to govern itself. I live in a place where forest fires are never allowed to happen even though it would be very healthful to let them occur now and again. I definitely believe in animal rights and allowing them their territory back so that they can proliferate. But in a situation like this one, they should let the polar bear live. I am for animal rights, but every once in a while it involves making tough decisions. I think that the right one was made in this case.

Nooooo, it is wrong and just stupid. Poor little bear. They'll be extinct soon as it is, why kill 'em off early? Disgusting.
