My left testicle had been swelling and i went to the emergency room and found out that it was testicular torsion, i had the surgery this morning at around 5-7am and i was released at about 7:30am or so they have me wrapped in a thing right now. My question is how long does it take until the pain subsides? and does it go away quickly?

Glad you had the surgery before anything fell off. Had this procedure done over 25 years ago. No even notices my scars and I have two healthy children and a good sex drive. The pain takes awhile but does get better over time. IIRC taking warm baths and 'treating them softly", pillows, wearing a support hose, etc. helps with the pain. Try only going for short walks and follow up with your doctor.

The pain will subside within a couple of days while the site heals. Usually the Dr. will give you some pain meds to control the pain during this time. But hang in there....it'll get better.

For me, the pain was immediately better after surgery. I was sore from the operation, but the pain from the torsion was gone.
