Something ( probably a racoon) pulled the Thermometer from my small pond (approx. 50 gallon) last evening and broke the Thermometer. Some, but not all, of the Mercury beads fell into the pond. Will this kill my fish ?

You have nothing at all to worry about as far as your fish are concerned. Mercury has a tolerance level of about 1.0 mg / liter and witha 50 gallon pond that would mean about 189 mg of mercury to poison the pond. That would take the contents of several thermometers. If you bought this thermometer in the last few years it's actually unlikely to contain mercury. A mixture of gallium, indium, and tin called galinstan is more often used today.

Mercury is highly toxic! Clean out your pond, take your fish out. Use maybe a didgitla thermometer next time.

If it's in great amounts then yes but you said that it was just few so probably not but just be carefull with your fish because it will harm them in some way. It could mess with their brain or some other stuff. If you know about the Japanese mercury umping you will know to not eat them but you altready know that. Hope this helps.

I agree with MM here. Chances are it isn't enough to worry about in your pond, and as he mentioned, newer thermometers are not filled with murcury.

yes it could kill the fish. You could take a baster or something like that and suck out the mercury.
