..genitals against sea turtles when they haven't had contact with female dolphins. Has anyone else heard this?

I've seen more than one Discovery/Animal Planet/National Geographic type show that has stated that studies show some dolphin species are primarily homosexual. They even form long-term relationships with a dolphin of the same sex. Yet, they still find the opposite sex when it's time to make little dolphins.

Haven't heard the sea turtle thing, but I wouldn't be surprised. There's many animals species that use sex as recreation as well as procreation. They're lucky...they don't have annoying televangelists telling them that it's wrong.

This sounds like a whale of a fishy story. Did they learn to do this in fish school. You know the one where good students get rewarded with a STARfish. I'm wondering if they use the turtle when they want it very slow.

I haven't but it's believable. Dolphins are the only other mammals (besides humans) known to have sex just for pleasure.

They are also known to engage in homosexual activities. Many animals do.
