i was wondering that because me and my husband are trying to conceive and this has something to do with it right. :)
and i was also wondering does a mans sperm have to build up again?
i heard this somewhere that it takes i think a week or a month for a mans sperm to "build" up to where they are good enough to get to the egg.
is that true?

Has your husbands sperm levels been checked? For optimum sperm, it is recommended that you have sex every other day during your fertility time (two days before and the day of ovulation). If your husbands sperm has been damaged as a result of hot tub use, or something along that idea, it takes about 3 months to build it back up to being top fertility.

There are different issues with mens sperm and you would only know by having it tested. They look for quality, quantity and motility (ability to get there). It only takes one sperm to fertilize the egg. The more sperm that make the trek, the better. Some will only get part way and conk out, some will head in the wrong direction (hey they are male) etc... If he has no issues than it is safe to have sex every day and keep things okay, but every other day is still the best bet.

As for how long it lasts in your body:
Conception is only possible if intercourse occurs during the few days before, or the day of, ovulation. If everything is in perfect working order, using the maximized life span of the sperm and ova, (five days for sperm and 24 hours for the egg), your fertile window is up to six days long. On average your unfertilized egg has a short life span of six to 24 hours. After this time frame, the egg begins to degenerate and is no longer capable of being fertilized. Your partner’s healthy sperm has an average life span of 48 to 72 hours in the female reproductive tract. As a result of this limited time, only the couple of days before and the day of ovulation are considered fertile days. Having these times overlap through careful times can be the most crucial part to successful conception. A practical fertile window is just three days during each cycle.

Sperm can live inside the body up to 5 days.

It is not true that it takes a week to "build" up sperm. Semen contains millions of sperm that are released each time during ejaculation.

5 days. It would not come out. It is going up the cervix by the uterus, and ultimately is going into the torso in the hollow between the ovaries and the fallopian tube. Gross, huh? Oh, and the body can % up production of eggs if that's universal with that sperm is contemporary, meaning a woman can get pregnant outdoors her usual fertile time. wonder!
