My left knee is sprained and has been for 3 days how long does it normally take to heal?? and it doesnt normally hurt unless I sit down for a while then when I get back up It's a HUGE stabbing pain and i'll walk it off then it's gone. I have TKD testing on Thursday and I really need it to be better.
Is that a sprained knee and what can I do to make it feel better/
heal faster???

Thank You!

well sounds like you may have more than just a sprain with this knee try rotateing heat and cold at 15 to 20 minute intervals and rest generaly a simple sprain or strain may resolve in a week to 10 days or up to a month , this seems to sound more than just a simple sprain did you feel a tearing or popping sensation when it happened in either case my advice as a emt. and a former practioner in the martial arts would be to contact a physican and let him evealuate it or if there is a sports medicine clinic near seek further help from them ,i kinda know this isnt what you would want to hear this close to testing ,hope it all works out and good look in your upcoming testing and advancement

I think you should go to a doctor, the faster way to heal it is inmovilazing it with a knee brace or even a leg cast, ask the doctor I hope you get well soon!!!
