Heh, i'm a mavs fan too, but he isn't overrated. He's a great baller on a team that sucks dick right now. They've had a positive record of the games they played without him, but that's only because the opposing teams have been easy. I think the refs are retarded on a daily basis so i can't say whether or not they were biased towards the Heat; but i will say they don't stand a chance against Mavs this year... whether dwayne wade comes back incredible or not.

actually the NBA champions would have the MVP finals award so Dirk couldn't win the award in any way because they lost... im a mavs fan and i don't think D-wade is overated. but yeah the nba makes more money with D-wade then Dirk... i hope the mavs wins the championship this year and Dirk is the season and finals MVP... go MAVS

the only thing Wade's injury has proven is that athlete's get hurt, regardless of your star-or-not status. He is absolutely not overrated. He has played at a high and consistent level since he was drafted. Miami looks to him to be the star and he is. for now, the only thing they got going is emotion, cuz Shaq is stepping up to be the leader like he should. in the playoffs, they put the ball in Wade's hands and looked for him to make something happen in more than half of their possessions. the refs didn't hand him anything...he earned it. Miami as a team was just better. their defense was just a little too much for Dallas. it was a battle to see who could impose their style on the other team, and Miami won by playing slow down, grind it out, smothering defensive ball. Wade came up big with the game on the line...missing a couple of free throws here and there, but still doing enough to take the heart out of Dallas' fight. and sure he's more marketable than Dirk, but that had nothing to do with it. if Dallas wins, then i guarantee you will see more of Dirk Nowitski. for now, please stop drinking that Hater-ade...i hear it leaves a long lasting bitter taste.

just a bitter mavs fan and ur right. Dirk is international. that is why he's never on TV. Wade was at the line 15+ times every game in the Finals. but they were all cheap fouls.
they have Shaq and he is stepping up. that is why there are winning now.

Wade was Finals MVP, not real MVP, that was Nash.
Wade is way 2 overrated. He only plays hard when he wants 2. Never plays hard against teams like Hawks, Bucks, Bobcats, when those r the nights he could be dropping 50. Only plays hard against Mavs, Suns, Wizards, Pistons, and when he's on ABC, or ESPN.
Did I mention he's a girl, in a sport with "tough guys". Most guys would be back either right now, or in a week or 2. People r treating it like he lost his arm. He's fine.

Ofcourse Wade is overrated! His team needs him yeah but they are obviously capable of stringin together some wins without him. Yes Im a Mavs fan but that doesnt have any bearing on the fact that the league treated him like he was Jesus reincarnated in the finals last year. They still give him special treatment. I mean seriously whered that wheelchair come from? Had it been anyone else theyd have told them to walk their *** to the lockerroom under their own power seein how it was his shoulder hurt.

Both Dirk and Wade are overrated. Case in point
Wade - Finals last year...got David Stern and the refs on his side BIG TIME
Dirk - Choked in the finals. He had his chance to perform and drop jumpers but he couldn't in the closing seconds of the games and was afraid to take over
- Against the Suns last week missed an 18 footer at the buzzer. Missed 2 free throws in the final minute. Gave away a 5 point last minute lead. Couldn't lead and help his team protect the lead.
Well against every other team in the Nba he does very well, but against the big boys...Suns, Spurs and Lakers...he chokes.
once a choker forever a choker

Dwayne Wade is young and so far he has proven to be a good basketball player. Notice I said good and not great. Because he is so talented and is not afraid to take over games, he is showing signs of the possibility of becoming one of the greatest to ever play the game. Right now though he is not at that point in his career. As for being overated, I think a lot of young players are in this league and Mr. Lebron James is one of them by far. I believe that the title KING should be better suited for someone who has proven himself by wininng championship tittles and setting records left and right. With all do respect, Mr. James has done what?

Wade is definitely overrated. Look back the finals against Mavericks. He got half of his points from free-throw. (why did the refs just give him 15-20pts in the beginning of the game rather than wasted our time watching him making free-throws?)
Well now, since he is out from dislocated shoulders, his team or the Miami Heat are doing better without him. before he got injured, the heat werent even in the playoffs or couple games ahead of 9th place. And now they are not only winning but also 6.5 games behind Detroit pistons (all thanks to Shaq).

i dont understand ur side of why wade got the mvp, but u do bring up a great agument abou how miami is doing better without him. granted d-wade is a great scorer and a great team player, but u got to look at this team. walker, posey, mourning, williams, payton. this team is filled with others who were putting their game aside and letting wade do his thing on the court and get them some wins. and now, since wade is out, these former stars for other teams are now combining their talent with shaqs and winning without the help of wade.
