Had anyone stopped to consider that the people who are the meanest and nastiest are the ones who need it the most?

and the people who offer it to those who make them feel good for having done it, are completely missing the point?

Anyone?

The mentally and physically challenged.

Why?.. Because I have a son with Autism that is often misunderstood, or not aware that some compulsive behaviors are not socially acceptable.

I work with the handicapped, and many of them have trouble understanding what is and isn't socially acceptable, as well as have troubles expressing needs and wants.

For those who can not express their own voices, it is easy to be neglected or abused, so I go the extra mile to make certain the people I work with are sheltered from those risks in their lives.

"inspire" is one element. "total devotion" is amazingly yet another! in case you're speaking politics, i might opt to have a pacesetter who's first and top-rated, trustworthy, clever and resourceful. it would additionally help if he/she had some consumer-friendly compassion for those in choose. regrettably, to be trustworthy in politics many times skill you're immediately out of the working. So no less than, intelligence and creativity are a could. often issues can't be solved by means of elementary useful theory. some issues require resourceful enter for the ultimate answer. Compassion is likewise mandatory so as that the chief in query won't get inebriated on potential and forget approximately approximately those much less fortunate under his/her management. This begs the query, "How did Bush get a 2nd term?" he's an untalented dullard and given Katrina, his compassion in simple terms looks to income people who can help him. unhappy.

There is a story in Luke where Jesus says that you shouldn't invite your friends to dinner because they will always invite you back. I'm not sure whether he really said that but it is an interesting philosophy. I show kindness when people who really really really annoy me cannot take hints that I don't want to be friends with them. If they are that stubborn and/or emotionally disturbed I figure I'm dealing with an unstable person and it's best for me to not bluntly tell them they are annoying. Most people would tell them so or just ignore them. However when I ignore people, they seem to annoy me even more. Uh, no, this response is not directed at you.

Shy people who stay alone in the corner and don't look around very much. The ones who look like they want to run away or hide. Uncomfortable, embarrassed people who might cry when they get home. The lonely and socially inept or inexperienced. Why? Because they need to be soothed and touched. To be welcomed and shown kindness. And someone needs to take their shoulder and their hand and bring them inside the group where it's hopefully warm. They break my heart and I can't walk away or ignore them. I was born to go get them and bring them inside the group.

Being a therapist I have to work with various people, suffering from various pathologies, but the people who inspire more compassion in me are those suffering from depression. This is due to my own countertransference towards them (my feelings for them) because I know what's it's like to feel like that.
It's always 'kind' to feel compassion and empathy to those around us, but there are always those who feed off these feelings from us, latch on and drag us down (such as people with dependent personalities) so even thought it's good to feel empathy for them, sometimes it's good for them and us to control these feelings rather than running away with them.

I am a teacher, so I offer my kindness to children. Everyone has problems. And unfortunately, when adults have these problems, children can pick up these stresses and take them into their own life and have stress as well.

I am understanding to their problems(Ex: Little Johnny is being mean to his friends. But come to find out, his mother is out of town, and he does this only when mommy is out of town.) So, I keep a good standing with the parents of "Johnny" by having good communication with them and by reinforcing positive behavior and correcting behavior by giving positive feedback and ignoring other behaviors.

I am sympathetic to parents that have these children with behavior problems and reassure them that it is something we have to work on as a team, and that it takes time to change.

Most importantly, I have both feelings for my family! Because after being with children for the whole day, you can become impatient, and take out those feelings on your family.

I am such a sucker I feel the need to offer compassion and kindness to almost everyone I meet. Why? Because it seems that everyone is basically the same-we all need love and attention.
