Do you ever get down hearing all the anti-gay stull here and in real life?

Sometimes it really bothers me and I have to just shut it out for awhile. I dont understand what motivates people to belittle and berate gay people. We all go out in public, we all work, we all go home to our private lives. What is your problem with gays? Why do some of you make it your pet project to be so mean? We're all here and we all contribute to the system, why can't gay people get a fair shake?

Is it me? Maybe I feel things too deeply. Empathy is a double edged sword.

You read my blog yesterday....I get fired up and angry at the trolls. I think it's more because they are ignorant rather than what they say. I've been lucky to have not experienced an overwhelming amount of anti-gay harassment. What hurts me most are those family members to whom I am not out who spew their homophobia. It's a long story...but I made a promise to my parents and I've kept it. I usually become withdrawn and silent but inside I am seething.

When I hear that the President of the United States of America, who supposedly represents all people, wants to amend the Constitution to prohibit legal same-sex marriage...it honestly makes me want to move to another country. Pretty drastic since I won't even move out of the city in which I was raised. I have seriously contemplated doing things to that evil man. The irony is...I'm never going to be in a position to desire marriage for myself...but I get angry for those who I know are in loving and committed relationships. And that goes for many of my Yahoo cyber friends...I don't know you except through this medium and yet I get angry that you cannot have equal rights. It ain't fair, ya know?

Well, I'm not gay. Nor anti-gay. But everyone has a right to their opinion. I don't think anyone should be hateful about it though. There is some high school that has some kind of gay awareness day. People wear t-shirts or whatever it is they do, in support of gays. Another student wanted to wear a t-shirt that said "Be happy. Not gay" the day AFTER the gay day, and he wasn't allowed. That is clearly not fair. Everyone has (or should have) a right to their opinion. But ya know, that is the same problem with blacks versus whites. It is completely unacceptable for me to walk around in a public place with a shirt that says "Civil rights for Whites". It will never change. People are too sensitive. People feel they have a right to dictate to others their beliefs...their religions. It's crap.

How does it affect me? Well, here on yahoo answers, it doesn't bother me one bit. When I think and realized that the ONLY reason those people come here is to antagonize and offend, I will not let myself be bothered by that. If that is the reaction they want, I personally will not give them the satisfaction.

Now to real life, that is another issue. In the last election, I had to talk to my OWN brother and beg him to vote 'no' on the amendment to the VA constitution to ban gay marriages. He has nothing against gays, but something about gay marriage bothers him; I have no idea what!

Things like General Pace and Ann Coulter really bother me, but only because I see the SUPPORT they get for their positions. I try to understand why people are so gullible to believe the things they spout. Other people say that they support gays, then they do things to make it more difficult.

And what bothers me most is the 'love the sinner, hate the sin' attitude. Since this is the way we are made, it is IMPOSSIBLE to hate the so-called 'sin' without hating me! And that smug condescending attitude it what bothers me so badly!

The saddest area is that many comparable intercourse ' unions ' have a dedication lasting all of 10 minutes in a adult males's room stall as adversarial to opposite intercourse unions which final years longer i'm particularly specific that the form of opposite unions that has lasted as lengthy as mine has for 25 years is a lot greater suitable than the form of comparable intercourse unions that have lasted for 25 years

It doesn't hit me personally, like it does you, but mostly, it stuns me to realize there are still so many thick-headed and hateful people around. What do they get out of such hating? I just don't understand it. What is in it for them?

What bothers me is that normal people are forced into the closet, while gays are assuming themselves to be normal. Got news for you, there is nothing right with homosexuality. NOTHING.

Do one of two things. Either say nothing to them at and and only post this following:

````````````\|||/
```````````(o o)
,----ooO--(_)-------.
|``````Please````````|
|```don't feed the``|
|`````TROLL's !````|
'--------------Ooo--'
``````````|__|__|
`````````````|| ||
````````ooO Ooo
Feel free to copy and use.
OR....
Post overly-positive things that either mix up what they say or treat them so nice that it takes all the fun away from trolling for them.
But that's just me.
