Well if it is bad - I am in the same boat. Just within this past month my husband and I started sleeping in seperate bedrooms. I absolutely can't sleep through his snoring. And it isnt just for a couple hours - we are talking from the moment his head hits the pillow to the time the alarm goes off. We tried everything imaginable (less surgery) and nothing seems to help. I even tried ear plugs and all they did was give me an ear infection! I love my husband as well and would love to be able to sleep in the same room as him - but I can't fathom the idea of never getting a good nights sleep again just to be near him in bed.

It's a little unusual, Melina, but -- hey! -- if the guys snores, I guess you have to get some sleep. But what about spooning, feeling his warmth, and cuddling all night long? What about looking into his eyes in the morning and seeing the love there? What about his smile when he first looks at you upon awakening? I don't know. Separate bedrooms seems like you are giving up all the romantic stuff. It seems like you are giving up that which is best of all. But it is up to you. Are you sure you are in love with him? Good luck....

I wouldn't worry about that. No one said in your marriage vows that it's mandatory for you both to sleep together every night. I feel that if this works for you two, then there is really no problem. You're not the first couple that has ever done this and I'm sure you won't be the last. The main thing is that you love each other and agree to stay together. John Lennon said this......."all you need is love". To me.......you're both doing the right thing. Best of luck to you.

I don't think that is normal. I have wanted soooooo bad to go into another room because of his snoring...but never did because it just wasn't right. I went with only getting about 3 hours of sleep a night because of it. Then I would have to ask him to turn on his side so it wasn't as bad. He got used to it.
Other people are different tho.
But if you are asking.....then maybe your not sure it's a good idea?
Have him get his nasal passages looked at...they can fix some things.

My husband and I can't sleep without each other there. There are times when he has to go out of town for golf tournaments and we both don't sleep well at all.
Some people may be able to do it but no way could we ever sleep in separate rooms permanently.
Good luck!

If this is what both of you want - then go for it! My husband and I sleep in separate rooms; he snores a lot, and I have insomnia - which is just not a good combo. I like sleeping alone, and we go to bed together every night either in my bed or in his before one of us leaves to go to another room. It works out perfectly for us.

I'm not sure-I wouldnt do that. My husband annoys me a lot when he wakes up at 5am, and we fight over the duvet, but we have a really nice closeness when we fall asleep together. I would not want to give that up just to watch TV on my own.

I actually just read a large article on this on aol. It is becoming more and more common for there to be seperate rooms. Just because of odd work schedules, one partner snores etc... so no if you feel your relationship is strong then what does it matter where you sleep?

As long as you are comfortable with it that's up to you both.
You can also try purchasing a pair of ear plugs for yourself(my wife snored too) and compromising on shows you both like.
