I think you should speak to a guidance couselor at your school. They usually are very willing to listen and they might help.

Well, I will tell you what, I know a couple of things about black people... they love chicken, stealing, and talking. I know this is a stereotype, but have you ever considered that you are talking too much, maybe you do not know what it means to be quite because you watch montel so much... that guy never shuts up. Why don't you just tell your teach, "talk to the hand?" I promise that I am not trying to sound racist, I am just trying to say things in a way your people will understand... You are probably not very learn-ed, and you are trying to keep yourself busy at school. I understand. But don't try to blame "The Man" for keeping you down, put down the chicken, stop talking and pay attention in skoo. Even Mr. T said, "Don't be a Foooo, Go to Skoooo!"

It's probably not a racial problem....although many people are really quick to say that. One thing you can do, is go to a guidance counselor, and ask that you be moved to another class, or at least another table. If this continues, then I believe it would be time for you to get your parents involved, plus keep the guidance counselor advised of the situation. Best of luck to you.

I have the same problem!!! I talked once and then this girl talked to me after that and my teacher said that i better stop talking. My friend said to my teacher it was her. I mouthed thx and then the teacher got her in trouble. I told my mom about this and she called her. It didnt do anything. But if you arnt doing anything and everyone at your table is talking, read or pretend to read. If the teacher says stop talking, dont pay attention and sureley, the teacher will repeat. Then you say huh, what, i was reading. You pretty much will make a statment about yourself that will say, i dont do anything bad so dont pick on me. Stick it in their face that your good. Hope you do my suggestion!!

This is not a racial problem. Trust me some teachers are just obnoxious all the time and non-caring of their students thinking that just because they have the "power" they can just throw us around like a little puppet! But that is not true. I think that they should pay more attention to us and our needs instead of them and theirs! ~Example~ Today, I was watching a video about the Elaine Race Riot and my teacher, Mrs. Brown was like Christina, Ashley (My friend), you need to keep your heads up and stop sleeping. We sit by each other and we just looked at her like what? We were laying our heads down watching the video and I looked at Mrs. Brown and said I'm not asleep I just have my head down because I have a headache. She said well that's no excuse and I said that's not an excuse that's the truth. So I looked at my friend Sidney (who was actually asleep!) and said well Sid is asleep!! Why isn't she getting in trouble? She said because she's paying attention to the video. I looked at Ashley and we were just like what the heck!!! So anyway I put my head down again and she started yelling....she said CHRISTINA AND ASHLEY PUT YOUR HEADS UP...so I decided to get smart and I said well technically, we are watching the video. She said how can you if you are looking at your desk. I said Mrs. Brown I am not looking at my desk! Im looking at the screen, but I just have my head down! Can I not be comfortable and learn at the same time or is that not a choice in your class? Well I know to you it seems like I was mean, but I think that she deserves it! She's too old to teach she's like 60 and everybody hates her! I'm just glad I don't have to take her class in 8th grade too! Oh and another thing. She told me that just because I am a cheerleader and a blondie it doesn't mean that I have to "act the part!" She was totally rude!!! So yeah now everybody hates her for being rude to me!......It isn't that your teacher is rude, it's just because she's a tightwad of crap that needs to get over herself and start relaxing and stop thinking about herself!

I would talk to another teacher, say you feel picked on. Or if you are brave enough you could confront her, she may not see it at all, and apologise. You could always try moving tables, so you are sitting with quiet people, if she still picks on you when your table is not the noisy one then go to another teacher with your problem.

Ask yourself this: Do you REALLY not doing anything wrong when she yells at you?
If you honestly think so, then maybe she is a racist.
Or maybe she has a psychological disorder that causes her to malfunction because of early preteen child hood down syndrome resulting from a menopausal matriarch.
