Oh Honey, you have to go to the doctor or if you have an Urgent Care Center in your area, you can go there. It's like an emergency room, but it's not a hospital. You can have a doctor look at it and take an x-ray if he feels that it's necessary. They have x-rays right there, they don't hurt, it just shows the doctor if there's something wrong with the bone.
Since your knee is swollen, a couple of things may have happened. You could have sprained it, strained it, pulled a muscle or torn a ligament, or fractured (broken) it. You can't put any weight on it until you find out what is wrong. It may just be bruised, but the swelling may be a sign of something more. Honey, if it hurts so bad that it makes you cry, you have to see a physician. Walking on it isn't going to make it any better, it will only cause more distress to the injury.
Obviously, your parents must know what's going on, what do they think?
In the meantime, if you have an ice pack, have someone fill it with ice and put it on your knee. Put it on the swollen part for 20 minutes, then take it off for 40 minutes. When the 40 minutes are up, put the ice back on for 20 minutes, then off again for 40 minutes. If you don't have an ice pack, you can put ice in a baggie and use that. Feel free to e-mail me again if you need more help. I really wonder what your parents think, bless your heart.

find a comfortable knee brace/support. they make one that has what is called a horseshoe in it that you can move this piece around the knee area so it supports and reduces the pain wherever it may be in the knee. I fell at work two months ago and have been wearing a knee brace for a month now. the doctor told me that it takes anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks for a bruised knee to heal and to wear the brace that long. use ice and heat on it as tolerated. if you can get some Bio freeze--IT WORKS WONDERS.

Knee Pains is something that over 50 million americans experience and they think the only way to handle it is toughing it out, or putting ice and hot packs on it with a dose of pain killer. However you can strengthen and loosen up the pain in your knee.
Increasing your intake of Glucosamin Chondriton, decreasing your sugar intake, and following certain exercises and stretches at least 3-4 times a week.
Check out the link below, for a detail on these exercises and what knee pain is all about:

you might have something called Osgood schlater disease.(don't ask me the correct spelling)
this is commonly found in teenagers.(i have it my self) it is the muscle in your knee inflaming when it rubs against the bone. it is also common among people that play quick-start sports i.e. foot ball, basket ball, baseball. a good thing to do is to take about 2-3 100 mg pills of motrin(depending on your size), and lots of icing at home.

You could have done something as simple as strain it, or you could have a torn meniscus or ACL. Either way, go to a doctor to be sure. They might wrap it and instruct you on the use of heat and cold. Best of luck to you.
