Well....that's a tough one, but a very real question for SO many people.

I would say that just because you are a lesbian doesn't mean you have to have a partner or sex. I think you need to first accept yourself. You can't change who you are and you need to love and be proud of who you are. I understand with family, friends, even society makes it hard, but you can overcome.

Good luck and if you ever want to talk email me sometime.

I'm sorry that you don't want to be a lesbian. I would hate not wanting to be true to who I am. The most that I think you can do is pretend to be straight but I don't think that you'll be happy in the end. Or you could try to accept that you are who you are. Is there any particular reason you don't want to be a lesbian?

I am gay and used to hate it.
I thought there was something wrong with me and that my feelings were wrong. I expected all my friends and family to reject me if they knew my dirty secret.
I lived a hetro life for a while, I was happy and monogomous but all my fantasies were about men.
At 36 I finally came out to myself and those in my life. My friendships are better than ever, my family adjusted and I feel relieved to finally accept myself.
Finally comming to the realization that it is my life to live how I want to and that I do not need to be afraid of who I am is a relief.
I have come to live the serenity prayer. "change the things I can, accept the things I can't and have the wisdom to know the difference". I never could change my preferance....it just is and acceptance is a huge weight off my shoulders.
Good luck to you.

I think you should look at the reasons why you are a lesbian. What is it you like, and do not like about this. Do not force yourself to be something that you are not. Be who you are, and do not worry about the conditioning that we all go through about if you are gay, God will hate you, and you are not normal. In our society, to be different is wrong to them, but who are they to judge us? Only God can judge us, and if we are good people that is a good thing. I hate people always judging what we should be , what we should look like, how we should act etc. etc. Just be happy with who you are, and the heck with everybody else. Be Happy.

Sometimes I wish I weren't attracted to women. It scares me that I might end up falling in love with a woman, and want to start a family with her. It scares me that the world will be against us. But you know what? At least we'll be happy.

Why don't you want to be a lesbian? Generally, going against what comes naturally to you will result in unhappiness. The most important things in life are love and happiness, and if you can't accept them because you're pushing them away, you may end up regretting it.

Then you could always force yourself to live a lie. "Act" straight just so you can please all of the heterosexuals. I'm sure your lifelong unhappiness wont bother you too much.

Or you could just accept yourself for the beautiful lesbian that you are and live your life the way you NATURALLY feel led to.

You can try to be straight, but the down fall would be your self pride in the end. And eventually an man will fall in love with you and it won't be fair for him. You'll never be able to return that kind of love.

Well, I wish you luck if you wish to change your sexual orientation...in the end, you will just be lying to yourself.
