i read more unknown books rather than a series because you get to see more of the little known books and they are a little more exotic but they're not like REALLY out there
to spoil the sun- i love this book as a teen myself, but i read it when i was in middle school, but i think that it's better suited for teenagers like fourteen or so, it's about a cherokee girl just in case you'd wanna know

it's about a korean girl suffering through the korean war who finds a guy whose willing and i'll leave it at that so that i don't give it away, i think that this is a great book because honestly not alot of people can tell me much of anything about the korean war so i think that just a LITTLE insight would be a good thing
dark secrets-elizabeth chandler
this is about a girl's mom who was murdered in her aunt's home town, she comes back to the town when she's seventeen or eighteen and she's trying to find out her mom's murderer and an old friend helps her out

The Georgie Nicolson series is awesome.. It's not really romantic but its the diary of a a British teen who is love crazed. Its probably the funniest book i ever read.

oh my god when i was in high school i was obsessed w/ books by Linda Chaikin. If you're ok w/ christian fiction, her 'arabian winds' series are SUCH good romantic historical novels - I'm not christian, but my cousins recommended them to me & the religious aspect was very, very subtle & never bothered me. Check them out!
