Buy a 1GB memory stick and transfer stuff onto it and off into the other PC. If you have masses to do, PC-LINQ is better.

If you want to JUST transfer ITEMS, (like music, word documents, and pictures, then you could use a thumb drive. YOu could also buy an external encloser for the laptop hard drive. You then just attach the two with a USB cable.Or you could by a transfer cable.

Use a flashdisk/memory stick. Just put it into the USB port of the desktop, save to the memory stick (open it in my computer and drag and drop the files you want to move onto the memory stick / flashdisk drive - it will show in my computer as 'temporary drive'). Move to the laptop usb and drag and drop them back across over to wherever you want them on that. Alternatively if there is loads to mvoe across you could burn them to a disk (if your desktop has a CD writer) and do it that way.

There are a few ways you can do this.
1-Get a flash-drive or USB disk, and transfer
2(easier) Go to box.net, and sign up. Upload files, and download onto your laptop.
If the files aren't exactly files, but real items that can't actually do this, there is probably a wire you can buy, but I'm not sure.

The easiest way would be to purchase a USB drive. Simply copy the files from your old PC to the USB drive then to the new PC. A USB drive can range is size from 64MB up to 4GB or more.

What items? If it is just word documents, pictures, and such, just copy them to flash memory or CD, then transfer them.
Programs you will need to install manually.
