In order to be registered as a social worker in Ontario, you have to have a degree from an approved social work program. There are 12 Universities in Ontario which offer such a program.

You cannot get registered as a social worker with a community services worker diploma. However, you can get registered as a social service worker. Generally, graduates who have obtained a two-year college diploma in social service work from a College of Applied Arts and Technology qualify for registration.

For detailed information on the differences between a social worker and a social services worker, go to the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Their website is listed below.

To be a registered Social Worker, you generally need a 4-year degree. I'm not aware of the differences betwee Community Service Worker and Social Worker, but I do know the standard is a degree, not a diploma. Hope this helps!

devoid of understanding the entire info of the situations that extra approximately this woman being got rid of it incredibly is hard to remark on no rely if or no longer the splendid determination became made. although, as a social worker myself i'm conscious that social amenities in England have powers to eliminate susceptible adults to a place of protection the two by ability of using the psychological well-being Act 1983 or Tne national suggestions Act 1948. i ask your self whether, working example, the elderly woman became receiving expert care amenities or nursing care that the family participants have been no longer able to furnish themselves or that she became certainly located right into a care abode because of the fact of previous concerns with regard to the care that she became receiving. it form of feels a pity that communications look to have broken down between the pros and the family participants ensuing in this elderly woman being taken out of the care abode. perchance it could have been greater advantageous for a process action to have been agreed extremely than only removing the female from the care abode. i'm beneficial that this might have provided social workers with a safeguarding adults alert wherein social amenities might have had a accountability to interfere. Social artwork is a tricky interest and now and returned difficult judgements would desire to be made. it incredibly is hard to get those judgements correct each and each of the time and oftentimes while issues pass correct they do no longer look to be publicised. it incredibly is by using ability of the sensational media coverage on the subject of situations at the same time with Victoria Climbie and toddler P the place Social amenities intervention has no longer worked that spotlight the shortcomings of social workers and the undesirable standards that would at circumstances exist. only as a greater physically powerful problem to this subject, it incredibly is hard to comprehend no rely if or no longer the provider consumer has 'means' to make her very own judgements. If she hasn't and persons are making judgements in her ultimate interest, it incredibly is obvious to be certain whete the added complexities would upward thrust up.

I'm surprised you haven't found that out at the college you attend. Most people want to know before they take the classes what's down the line for them. I live in the U.S.. things may be a little different here.
Check it out.
