If a terrorist has information that could save American lives, I favor every form of torture used on that terrorist. Torture is an effective method for extracting information, as well as punishment. The ability to use torture on the enemies of freedom protects freedom- and the fact liberals oppose it, is proof to me they hate freedom. Why do libs cry when a terrorist is tortured, yet say nothing when American soldiers are killed by the same terrorists? I think libs care more about the terrorist than they do the troops- I think the libs deserve to be tortured..

Even if torture is not an effective way of getting information- it is very effective as punishment- and i think enemies of freedom should be tortured. I think most patriotic Americans would like to see the arrest and torture of the freedom hating, troop bashing , American hating liberals.

It has been proven that torture does not extract more or better information than other means. Anyone would confess to anything under torture, that's just common sense. Are you blind... You say we cry when a terrorist is tortured but say nothing when a soldier is killed. You need to read the paper boy-o. That is why we are pissed off, that's why we voted Dems into the senate and congress and why we WILL vote Rep out of the white house when the times comes. BECAUSE I CARE EVERY TIME A SOLDIER DIES IN THIS WAR!

Torture is not punishment. Besides if you think the only person to suffer from torture is the one doing the torturing, think again every single soldier who has interrogated/ tortured a person guilty or not will carry that scar on his soul til the day he dies. It's goes against everything this country was founded on. It sounds to me like you care less about the lives of our troops, how many more would you send out there to die 10,000, 100,000. And honestly from everything you have posted you are the real Anti-American, Go read the Constitution and the bill of rights.

The ticking bomb scenario falls apart upon careful scrutiny. It assumes that law enforcement has the right person in custody. That is, the suspect knows where the bomb is and when it is scheduled to detonate. What if there is only a 50 percent chance that the suspect knows the information? What if this number is only 10 percent?

Second, it assumes that torture will be effective in gaining access to the critical information. In fact, however, torture is notoriously unreliable. What if there is only a 60 percent chance that the suspect will reveal accurate information? How about 20 percent? How low are we willing to go? How should we make the decision whether to torture? How many people must be endangered before the torture option can be considered?

Start torturing, and it's easy to get carried away. Torture destroys the tortured and corrupts the society that sanctions it.

I do not support torture for two reasons. First, not all of the people that America has called terrorists actually are... some actually have no evidence for being terrorists. Second, it is terrorism to torture people. We are stooping to the level of the very thing we condemn when we torture people.

I cry when a soldier dies, and I cry when a civillian dies. I actually don't cry when a terrorist dies, but I do cry for humanity's sake when I take a look at the state of American politics. Shouldn't we work together to solve our problems instead of spreading partisan propaganda and hatred?

How would you react if someone thought you had information that they wanted and you were being tortured? What if they did not believe you and kept up the torture? Would you tell them anything to stop the punishment?

Why should people be tortured and/or punished for fighting for what they believe in?

When you torture someone you never know if you are getting true information or if they are telling you anything you want to hear to make you stop the hurt. Think of this situation pertaining to yourself and perhaps you will have a broader scope of opinion.

I'm with you until, the torture for the libs, can't do that.

When did this no torture policy come about anyway? It always been a no talk policy, used in Vietnam, World War 1 & 11 and other Wars. Not only with our Country but with all Nations in war.

I keep waiting for someone to say, "Is it ok if we shoot them now." We can't bomb or shoot the Mosque, but they can harbor terrorists and weapons of every kind inside to kill our people and the Coalation Forces.I say bomb the Mosque and don't ask if we can shoot them NOW!

think you think of for a 2d, those men have been locked up for years devoid of communique, any information shall we are transforming into to be is a few distance old, they do no longer deal in good places so we could no longer get information on a thank you to bomb them, they're incapable of certainty, questioning the greater they confess to the greater advantageous off they're in Martyrdom and regard loss of life as a doable determination. in case you torture them you get no longer something, except it incredibly is your concern and you have discovered a place on your perversion. that is not any longer Liberal to comprehend that if we droop to the procedures of our enemies then how do we tutor the international we are greater advantageous. after all, did no longer we pass in to Iraq because of the fact Saddam became an undesirable dictator torturing his people? Do you think of they like it greater advantageous now that a foreign places ability is torturing them? in easy terms on a functional point, torture would not artwork, the sufferer will confess to something to end the soreness, this has been shown time after time. we are transforming into to be throught this some distance devoid of such dispicable procedures, I see no reason we would desire to droop so low now.

There's something called the Eighth Amendment, might want to see what it says.

As a Christian, I could NEVER accept torture. It's not right. Whatever happened to LOVE your enemies? Bless those that curse you, don't repay evil for evil, etc.

Because they believe in an agenda that cares more about what other countries think of us than our soldiers.
Also, since there is a Republican President, they are against anything that would help defeat terrorism.
Though conservatives aren't much better, liberals are bed-wetting, knee-jerk crybabies.
