I know of women who were unfairly deleted while those abusing said women were allowed to continue with their harassment undeleted. I personally have had several of my answers deleted for supposed abuse, so this doesn't surprise me. I am shocked at any deletions with regards to your account because I know that you are a responsible and respectful member of the community whose comments and answers are very well thought out and very informative. I make a point of reading what you write because I know that it will never be a waste of my time.
I would seem that abuse is rampant here, and this is just a microcosm of the unjust oppression that also exists in society.

My account has not been deleted, but I have received some thoroughly unfair removals.
When you write to YA, there is always the default
"Thanks, now go away" message, but no real action is taken.
I think that YA's philosophy must be that the Trolls are kind of like the Idiots on Jerry Springer--they bring people back to be entertained some more. I don't see the really obscene
posts like "Abortion Ecard" and "Kick my Nu*s" being removed.
As soon as I reach my personal point goal, I'm gone.
There are way too many abuses on here.
I like the intelligent posters, though, and appreciate their well-thought out and honest answers.
Let's see now how many of those Trolls post in response to this--YES!!! I am throwing down the gauntlet.
Good luck

"Follow the guidelines and you won't get anything deleted"...I once had a response deleted for "Not in correct language"...it was in this forum and (of course) in English. I've had other questions deleted for similarly fallacious reasons. Obviously, if enough people don't like your response, they can gang up on you (perhaps by corresponding about what "reason" to use) and report you for ANY reason, and apparently Yahoo just deletes it based on the number of reports. "Trolls" with multiple accounts use their accounts for just this reason...and, of course, for impersonating and "trolling." There are some users who apparently have three or four accounts...I actually know of one person who had 200 accounts...no joke. Chances are this is what happened to your friend. He or she can go to the "Forum" page at the top right of Answers home page and click on "Report wrongful violations" and present his case.
As others have noted, abuse and wrongful deletions are the norm, while, again, some users have multiple accounts, and habitually use them to impersonate others in order to harass, insult, and discredit them...all of which are against the stated Yahoo guidelines. Yet their account(s) remain. To think that Yahoo is mostly "on top" of the situation when it comes to abuse and wrongful violations is either incredibly naive, or a hypocritical, self-serving smoke screen.
EDIT--Robinson, I'm genuinely curious...did they provide the post that was supposedly against regulations? What DID it say? From what I can tell, this HAS happened to others...have you presented this to the forum?

The people who disagree with feminism get accounts deleted (and responses deleted) just like the people who agree with it. I got one account deleted after one supposed violation of "bodily harm." (?)
A lot of injustice seems to go on with either side, probably because statements can be construed in ways they weren't intended to be.
It's pretty simple, to tell you the truth; follow the guidelines and you won't get anything deleted. I am aware that there are quite a few gray areas or seeming transgressions of justice, but the same could happen with any other forum, I imagine.
EDIT: Yeah, Wendy, I was trying to give Yahoo! some credit, but some things they definitely don't pay attention to. Sort of like how I lost my first account because of the "BODILY HARM" mentioned above.
EDIT II: No, they said they reserved the right to the material. I never even got to see what I posted that was labeled as such. From what I can tell, no one else has either. What I HAVE learned is that yelling, screaming, and threatening the Yahoo! team apparently gets quite a bit done. A complementary manner gets you automated emails and haughty replies.

Judging by a few of the feminist answers on here, the reason they get their answers removed or accounts deleted is because they can't tell the difference between reasoned logic and being offensive or ad hominem insulting.
Some people don't seem to understand that focusing on hate rather than issues is not justified and will be seen as offensive by Yahoo. They also fail to understand that a legitimate query about a contradiction in their belief systems is not hate speech by itself, which appears to be why a lot of questions they don't like end up not being deleted.
I think a number of people reported the repeated posting Alexandra was talking about to Yahoo, because it was offensive and derailing rational discourse - resulting in the account being deleted. I believe astute readers of the answers to this question will notice a very probable candidate for the poster in question appears to have hair on her back.
Yahoo's gotten stuff wrong before, but personally I think they get more right than wrong. Maybe people should read the terms of service, or maybe taking some responsibility for your actions is a little too much to ask for some of the regulars in this topic for some reason.

I only flag people if they're really abusive--like not even answering the question at all to start with, and on top of that cussing so much the proverbial sailor would blush!
I encountered one such individual posting the exact same reply in several topics (the abusive language and cussing I described), so I flagged 'em.

I once had my account deleted for no reason...I don't know whether it was on Women's Studies or not though (although I doubt it since, at the time I didn't go on Women's Studies very much)

Strangely, it appears the TROLLS are openly admired for their transgressions while the ones who rightlyfully respond to the degradation receive violation notices. Tres tres bizzare. Also, when legitamate abuse is reported it's conveniently ignored. Fitting answers/responses to unprovoked antagonism are frequently and mysteriously deleted in this section - for sure.
