i have a question about labor....they always say that a bloody show is present when ur in labor but what if you r having contractions and all but no blood or even pinkness!! would that mean i am in labor or not?? i am getting really impation waiting for my lil boy to arrive and i was just think about that b/c i am losing my mucus plug but its not pink or bloody!! someone tell me please what they know about this??

sweetie when i lost my mucus plug it was just milky white and clear. And when i went into labor and the contractions started along with back labor then my water broke and i went and took a shower before going to the hospital.The whole time i never had a smudge of blood. I would keep asking my sister when they would come in every hour and check me if i was bleeding yet and for ever it seemed like she would say no not yet. Then my Dr told me that every delivery is different just like every pregnancy, but anyways when i was 6 cms dilated then the blood came.And i only bleed for 4 days after having my son. that was the extent of my bleeding, hope it helps and best wishes and good luck

i never had a bloody show or a mucus plug until WELL into labor. thats completely normal, you can be in active labor without it. if you are having contractions that are geting progressively more painful and closer together, you are in labor!

You can start to have contractions before you lose your plug. However it should not be far behind your contractions. Try to time your contractions and see if they are consistent and coming in sooner and sooner, if they are then call your doctor.
If they are not and they go away then you are just having Braxton Hicks and you are just preparing for labor.

well,u cn have lost mucus plug and not show pink stain, also even after u lose plug, u can have labor in next hour or next 2-3 weeks

i just gabe birth and i didnt even know when i lost my mucus plug... ha ha... i do know that only when i was like 8cm dilated did i start bleeding with my contractions...
but every person is different... if u are having contractions tho u should go to the hospital... and if its nothing they will let u know mm k

most of the time your mucous plug will be bloody but it is also possible to have a clear or whitish plug. its normal, i wouldnt worry about it. If it is bothering you id give your doc a call just to be satisified!
