I just had an exam today by the doctor. she said im 3 cm dialated and 90% effaced. She also did a sweep of the membraines. Is it normal to have bleeding afterwards and how long am I going to bleed for?

Yes, especially after a membrane sweep. It should be light and not last longer than tonight. If it seems heavy call your doctor.

Totally normal. You may have spotting for a few days, but it's nothing to worry about. It's just like lightly bleeding after a pap. It might also be what's called "bloody show," which means your body is preparing for childbirth. This could be anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks, depending on the woman.

this is totally nornal,usually lasts from 1 to 2 days,be patient and don't worry coz you will stress the baby out and possibly stop the dialation progress. good luck .

yes light bleeding is normal, but bleeding also could be a sign of labor
