What does lightscribe mean?

I just got a new computer and the DVD drive says something about lightscribe! What is lightscribe? how does it work?

light scribe is so cool now u wont have to put any labels on dvds or cdrom s it will do it for u using a special laser that etches what u want directly onto the cd or dvd that is after u done doing a burn session...

you can design the cd or dvd using your burner
