I would suggest stop thinking in such American-centric views.

There are 100 million Americans who still support the war and Mr. Bush. To be generous, I will allow that 900 million other people around the world also do as well.

That leaves 1 billion people for it, and 5+ billion people united against it.

That means the 100 million Americans who support the war are obviously the True Dividers. And if you ask them how they feel about world opinion, they'll just say "Who cares?"
It is not in the conservative right-wing American mentality to give a damn about what the rest of the world thinks... or even nowadays, what other Americans think.

Anybody who disagrees with them is simply labeled a looney, radical, traitorous, defeatist, anti-American, commie liberal. This is why even after 4 years of Iraq, they can still stubbornly cling to their fantasy world of American victory & righteousness, despite the fact that the rest of the world completely disagrees.

These 100 million Americans are obviously the most humane, enlightened, intelligent beings on the planet, and the crown achievement of human civilization.

you're making an exceedingly sturdy factor. In an appropriate international, that could desire to ensue. regrettably, it rather is a some distance from appropriate international and society. besides the fact that if the applicants SAY that they've the main suitable financial and government suggestions, it does no longer mean that, while elected, they're going to rather supply on what they say or that they are going to even have the skill to place their perfect suggestions into place. Why do you think of the political speeches and great strategies are observed as "marketing campaign can provide"? in case you vote for somebody who merely SOUNDS sturdy without making an allowance for their previous checklist, you will finally end up with a president who seems great on digicam and can study nicely from a teleprompter; somebody who had an particularly abysmal checklist because of the fact the main liberal senator in cutting-edge historic previous yet guy or woman who sounds great; somebody who has no genuine political adventure different than as a "community organizer". that's what's is the White domicile now. Even Democrats are commencing as much as gain that obama is a failed test. You sound particularly youthful and naive or a minimum of no longer very "worldly clever". As you grow old you ought to save on your man or woman strategies what's significant to you and boost your man or woman fee platforms even with what the media comments.

As exhibited in the days after 9/11 I think that when it comes down to it, Americans will pull together and work towards a common good. It is bound to happen again sooner or later, all we need is to find an issue or cause to unite us.

Sadly, it does appear as if we have gotten ourselves into a pickle and may take us awhile to get out, but for the sake of my children and grandchildren, I still maintain a faith that we will get out of this.

The only way to get out is to stop trying to dominate everyone and everything. I love my country, but we are devided because on issues of dominance. We try to dominate Iraq, now we threanted Iran, China, North Korea, it is scary when you ponder this.

I fear for the future of my country and its people. Americans need to stand up and take back the country from dirty polititians (no I dont mean start a war against out own Government) but it did amaze me, to see so much division over the Iraq war, yet somehow Bush was reelected...

Our children are the faces of tomorrow, what we do today affects that and it is a very scary situation. People are now taught to hate, lie cheat and steal, it has become a way of life, god is leaving (not by choice-but force) our society, when you have a God-less society, you have God-less people, without morals, or comppasion hence the news reports we see everyday!

The elite in america want us divided.... they pitted the religious right against the left. I say bring it back to the majority,,, finding our true median of perceptions,,, we need a voice of the people as president, not the ruling elite...

We need to move beyond disagreement to debate and consensus on basic values. Then we need to demand accountability from our leaders on those values.

We are a long way from that state now.
