For me, having a dream about a person dying is symbolic that the person I'm dreaming about is about to be on a different path than me. Its about saying goodbye to that person or the part of myself that related to that person. When I was in my teens, I'd dream about friends dying around the time a friendship was going in different directions (either from a physical move, someones actions, or growth and change.) It was a way of me dealing with letting that part of myself and that bond go.
I'm not sure if this symbol is the same for your friend... Hope my personal interpretation will at least get you on a path of thought. Good luck!

Freud said that in dreams its opposite to reality. So if he was dreaming about death, he was worried about birth?
Just want Freud said, a lot of others disagree, but he was the first/major psychologist to think about the unconscious.
Take into consideration he was also the person that said that we all boys want sex with their mother, and all girls hate their mother for chopping off their penis (penis envy)

Don't worry about it. Her dream was just her mind's way of telling you how much she values your friendship and that she couldn't stand the thought of somehow losing you. It's not a premonition or anything like that. It's just a friend's way of saying, "I love you".

Death in a dream does not always represent physical death, it represents change. It could mean a birth a move or just a life changing event. A change in her life or yours.

It doesn't mean you're going to die. Maybe she's worried your friendship is going to die. My sister had dreams about our mother dying and used to really get upset. Our mother lasted another 30 years.

Has anything happened in her life lately related to this? I had 12 people die last year. Family, friends & co-workers. One was my best friend.

when this happens its becuase she is worring about you tell her to not worry or else she will keep having dreams like this
